Isabela Costa is a Brazilian artist and filmmaker from Rio de Janeiro. Her experimental and narrative films present stories that deals with the expectations and anxieties of young generations.[1]

Education edit

Costa holds a master's degree in film/vdeo from the California Institute of the Arts.[2]

Career edit

Her films have been shown at film festivals and venues worldwide such as REDCAT[3], Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival[4], Brooklyn Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival[5], Aesthetica Film Festival. Some of her films were also been shown at the Galeria Mola in Portugal[6][7], and were deposited at the Cinematheque of the Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro[8] after being part of the contemporary exhibition of the1666 Festival Internacional de Cinema 16mm.[9]

Costa has also been a writer for the independent publisher Vulkan Maganize, writing about Art, Film, and culture in Los Angeles, California.[10]
