Husayn ibn Zayd (Arabic: حسين بن زيد; 733-809) was the second son of Zayd ibn Ali, the founder of the Zaydi movement. He is known as Dhu al-Dam'a (Man of tears) because he used to mourne and weep alot on his father's martyrdom due to unsuccessful revolt against the Umayyad Caliphate launched by his father in 739/40.
He was only 7 years old when his father was killed. After that Jafar as-Sadiq took is custody and raised him.
