Ogenga Glenn Sandy popularly known as Glenn Yuka (born 14 April 1984) is a Ugandan businessman and a philanthropist. He is the founder of Kings Kids Africa Foundation, a non-profit organization in Uganda mostly known for its charitable works in the different regions of Uganda.[1]
Education background edit
In 1991, Glenn Yuka started education at Fairway Primary School and achieved a primary leaving certificate in 1997. He later joined Light Secondary School in 1998 for his secondary level of education where he attained a universal certificate of education in 2002. In 2003, Glenn Yuka joined East high school in Ntinda, he achieved a certificate of completion from Uganda National Examinations Board. In 2007, Glenn Yuka completed his bachelor's degree at the Uganda Christian University.[2]

In 2008, he started working as a child relationship officer at Lodoi Foundation in Uganda cording the sponsors and the sponsored children of the foundation. In 2009, Glenn joined the Lulwanda children's home as a psycho-social counselor. During that time, he developed the desire of caring and looking after the needy orphans. He carried out campaigns as a single person in form of charity in the different parts of Eastern Uganda.[3]
In 2010, he started a charity organization known as the Kings Kids Africa Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at changing lives of the needy orphans and widows, providing safe clean water to communities and many more. Glenn through the Kings Kids Africa Foundation partnered with The Global Orphan Project of United States to reach their charity to the vulnerable in Uganda.[4] In 2021, Glenn Yuka started the Tembo Beverages Company which he runs as the chief executive officer in Mbale District in the Eastern Region of Uganda.
Philanthropy edit
In 2010, Glenn Yuka through the Kings Kids Africa Foundation constructed a home for the orphans in Busiu parish in Mbale District which accommodated ten orphans (five boys and five girls). In 2011, he partnered with Billy Austin and built the second home for the orphan children in Angalia (Busiu) in the Eastern Region of Uganda through the Kings Kids Africa Foundation.[5]
In 2021, Glenn Yuka together with The Giving University of United States through the Kings Kids Africa Foundation constructed a borehole in Kakoli parish in Pallisa District with an aim of providing clean water in the community.[6] Later in 2022, he partnered with The Giving University to train widows of Budadiri East constituency of Sironko District in the Eastern Region of Uganda with aims of skilling widows to create opportunities of survival in the daily life and be able to care for their own families.[7]

Glenn Yuka is married to Anita Yuka having two children together.[8]
