Born in Pomeroy, Washington.^[1]

Received his law degree from the Willamette University College of Law.^[1]

Moved to Tacoma, Washington, in 1917.^[1]

Married to Anita, with whom he had a son and a daughter.^[1]

Appointed to the court.
