Upon entering university, he dedicated more time to his studies than to motocross.

Although he did not become the Estonian champion, he won several cup series, first in 1998.[2] In 2001, Georg was named the best young motocross athlete of the year, thanks to his 18th place in the 85cc class at the Junior European Championships.[3]
