Draft:GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year

  • Comment: I think the sources are probably enough to demonstrate notability, but the article could use some more information about the awards themselves rather than just the list of winners before it can be approved. Turnagra (talk) 00:00, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: Need independent sources to establish why subject is notable.

GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year is an annual international wildlife photography competition. The competition is organised by The German Society for Nature Photography (GDT).[1][2] The competition is considered to be one of the most prestigious wildlife photography competitions in Europe.[3]

The first competition was held in 2001 and is open for photographers residing in Europe and also for GDT members.[4][5] In 2021 over 19,000 images were submitted to the competition.[6][7]

The winners are presented at the International Nature Photography Festival in Lünen every year.[8]
