History

edit

The podcast was started in 2016[1] and is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Youtube and the Fulhamish Website.[1]

In 2019, the podcast won ‘Club Podcast of the Year’ at the Football Supporters' Association Awards in London after being nominated in 2017 and 2018. They have since been nominated again in 2021. [2]

Post-match reaction and extras are available on their Youtube Channel[1], and audio-only editions of the podcast were made available on their second channel on August 7th 2023.

Release Schedule

edit

The Podcast releases semi-weekly on a Monday and Thursday. The Monday edition reviews the previous weekend’s match and concludes with listener emails. It is most often hosted by George Cooper or Sammy James.

The Thursday release, or ’Thursday-Club’, previews the upcoming match, may include an interview with Fulham-related personnel, listener emails, and may also feature ’This’ll Catch On’ - a segment in which listeners send in their own ideas for fan chants to popular music in the hope they’ll catch on.[1]

Episode Naming

edit

Each Monday episode of the podcast is named by fans on Twitter in a contest known as a ’Three Word Review’. During the show, the host's favourite submissions are read aloud and their favourite is selected as the name for the episode. The submitted reviews are often puns or wordplay surrounding the previous weekend’s game. Despite the three word criteria, submissions of four or two words (as well as those over-utilising hyphens) are also accepted.
