Michigan Manual of Freedmen's Progress
The Freedmen's Progress Commission was an organization appointed by Michigan governor Woodbridge Ferris to prepare for the state's particupation of the Lincoln Jubilee in Chicago. It published a book, the Michigan Manual of Freedmen's Progress in 1915 that included biographical profiles, history, photo portraits, delegates to the Lincoln Jubilee, and speeches.[1][2]
