A simple process using paper ballots at the voter district site on the day of the election is fraud resistant: The voter fills out a paper ballot, inserts it into the voting machine and the ballot drops into a locked drop box. If there is any challenge to the final final count, the lock box is unlocked in the presence of all interested parties and a manual count of the votes is performed.
