Forbesganj Junction (station code: FBG) is a major railway station located in the town of Forbesganj in the Araria district of Bihar, India. It is an important junction on the Indian Railways network, connecting various parts of Bihar and neighbouring states. Forbesganj Junction is situated in Forbesganj, a town in the Araria district of Bihar, India. The coordinates for the station are 26.3N ,87.25E. Forbesganj Junction is elevated at 46 meters above sea level. It is owned by Indian Railways and operated by the North East Frontier Railway zone. The station lies on the Jogbani-Katihar section, Darbhanga-Forbesganj section and the Forbesganj-Saharsa line.It has 4 platforms and 6 tracks.
History
