First Day On Earth is an upcoming HBO and BBC television series written by and starring Michaela Coel.
Premise
editA novelist with her life in a rut takes a job on a film in Ghana, the country of her parents and where her estranged father still lives.[1]

editThe series is written and executive produced by Michaela Coel, who also stars. Phil Clarke, Roberto Troni also executive produce alongside Jesse Armstrong for Various Artists Limited, as does Jo McClellan for the BBC and Piers Wenger for A24.[2]
Filming on the series will begin in 2025.[3]
