Ella Wahlestedt (born August 1, 1998) is a Swedish-American actress, producer, and film industry professional.[1][2]
Life and career
editWahlestedt began as a competitive gymnast before transitioning into acting. She gained recognition for her role as Emma Hastings in the 2014 sci-fi fantasy film Earth to Echo.[3][4] The film premiered at the LA Film Festival[5] in July 2014 and earned $45.3 million globally during its theatrical release.[6] She participated in a nationwide publicity campaign, featuring interviews [7] and public appearances [8] on shows such as Good Morning America, The New York Times, Entertainment Tonight, and KIIS FM with Ryan Seacrest.[9][10][11][12][13]
Her acting portfolio also includes roles in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Goosebumps, The Glades, and the James Franco film "Killing Animals."[14] She played "Caroline Hall" in the Lifetime television show Army Wives[15] and has modeled for several brands, including Justice, Cato, Belk, and Next.[16]
For her college education, she attended Babson College and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.[17]
Wahlestedt has expanded her career into film production and business. She served as the Director of Distribution at Buffalo 8 and founded her own production company, Quarterlife Pictures, where she focuses on producing content.[18][19][20]
Wahlestedt has been recognized for her philanthropic efforts.[21][22][23]
