Ekjot Singh Swagh (4 May 1994 – 21 January 2015) was a Canadian athlete of Indian origin who was a world champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Ekjot was born on 4 May 1994 in Brampton, Canada to Jagmeet Singh Swagh and Paramjit Kaur Swagh.

Player profile

Ekjot started playing Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2010 and won his first silver medal in November 2010. In February 2012, he won the Montreal International BJJ and also won a silver medal and a bronze medal. On November 27, 2012, the Toronto Session BJJ won three gold medals at the Open making him the number one Jiu Jitsu player in the world.

Death

He died of heart disease Atherosclerosis on 21 January 2015 in California.[1]
