Dr Nighat Arif is an English medical trainer, author, television presenter and media influencer. She is based in Buckinghamshire and has served as a GP advocating for women well being within the country. She wrote The Knowledge, a book about menstrual study in 2023. She was also awarded a honorary degree in science from the City University, London.

Ariff was a leading media personality in England, Ireland and America from the early beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 and due to her dedication to tackling taboos and improving women's health, she was nominated for the National Bevan Prize for Health and Wellbeing.[1] In addition to her contributions to the medical field, she is known for her work on television, including the BBC Breakfast, ITV's This Morning and presenting her own show on BBC Three Counties Radio. She is also a commentator for the Davina McCall's show on "Sex, Lies and the Menopause."

She has served as ambassador of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and Wellbeing of Women.

Arif has been praised for her use of social media in education people especially on menopause for women. After receiving recognition online, she has appeared on This Morning, BBC Breakfast, and BBC Look East, where she is engaged on medical related issue. In 2020, she talked about the effects of chillies on human for the Food Truth or Scare show by BBC World Service. Since then, she has engaged in audience live videos and anchored as guest speaker and health workshops for women.

Passionate about menopause awareness, she has took online to advocate it being "less taboo" especially for women who speaks English as a swcind language—she is also one who speaks Urdu. She appeared on BBC Breakfast's Wake up to the Menopause for the advocacy and Davina McCall's Channel 4 documentary Sex, Lies and the Menopause.

Arif is an advocate for organ donation which she said its "important especially for ethnic minority communities." She also hosts a weekend Sunday Breakfast show on BBC Three Counties Radio. She has appeared as a medical advisor and guest speaker on BBC Berkshire, Times Radio, BBC Radio 5 Live, Talk Radio, BBC Asian Network.
