The Unitary Republic of Doulant is a mock-government that exists on Discord. The modern Doulantese Republic was established in October 2021 and gained independence from the Republic of Discord on August 13, 2022.

History of Doulant

Prior to the establishment of modern Doulant, little is known about this small state within the Republic of Discord. In comparison to its more developed and popular neighbors, Avalon and Balion, Doulant remained relatively obscure. However, that changed when the Communist Party Discordias (CPD) rose to power.

Esemih0108 became Governor in Doulant and began to revitalize the struggling state. Under his leadership, Doulant evolved from a underdeveloped state into a thriving community, peaking at a membership count of approximately 60 people during the first Doulantese Republic.

The first republic, though promising, eventually fell, after a failed ownership plan causing disappointment among Doulant's residents. Therefore Esemih established the second republic, which would prove to be a golden age for Doulant. The state prospered with activity reaching up to 160 members.

Regrettably, these times was short-lived. Owners from the Republic of Discord grew corrupt, interfering in Doulant's internal affairs. This interference led to two significant events: the August crisis and the tragic Fall of the second republic, which was subjected to a devastating nuke by a very large raiding community, the 4th Brigade.

Under the dominion of corrupt owners, a third republic was established, but it proved fragile and unable to withstand internal challenges, ultimately falling apart. This paved the way for the creation of the fourth republic, once again under the leadership of Esemih, who sought to restore order and recapture the glory days of Doulant.

However, the turning point in Doulant's history arrived when Owners of the Republic of Discord, driven by a thirst for power, nuked Doulant to re-establish it under their rule. The whole operation was disguised by saying that the owner who executed the plan was hacked. This event marked the inception of the independence movement. On August 13, 2022, the citizens of Doulant, led by ImItsyBee who wrote the Declaration of Independence, rallied behind Esemih and his loyalists to declare their independence. The birth of the Unitary Republic of Doulant was the result of months of corruption and conflict, ultimately leading to Doulant's triumph.

People of Doulant!

I have made this channel to give a special speech. Recently as we all know our great state has been nuked. Pruny man was hacked, but that’s for a different time. Today is a great day for Doulant. The Republic of Discord will ill-treat us no longer! They have failed to protect us! They refused to recognise the legitimate owner of Doulant! They no longer recognise us as legitimate. We are no longer subject to the union, because they don’t consider us to be. Why should we obey them? We shouldn’t! Now that the Republic of Discord no longer considers us official, I present to you, @everyone, the following declaration:

Government of Doulant

Pre-First Republic:

In the early stages of modern Doulant, prior to the First Republic, the leadership was characterized by a three-tiered system. At the top, the Governor held executive authority and made crucial decisions on behalf of the nation. The Prime Minister played a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day affairs of the government, while the legislature functioned as the body responsible for crafting and implementing the nation's laws.

First Republic:

The First Republic brought about a significant transformation in Doulant's government structure. The President emerged as the new head of state, embodying the leadership of the nation. The General Secretary was introduced as a vice president to oversee administrative matters and ensuring the smooth functioning of government institutions. Meanwhile, a group of Ministers was appointed to manage various departments and aspects of governance, specializing in fields like foreign affairs, finance, and defense.

Second Republic:

During the Second Republic, the governance structure continued to evolve. The President retained the role of head of state, while the Chancellor gained prominence as a key figure in the government hierarchy. The Prime Minister was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the government, and the Council of Ministers worked in coordination to implement policies across various departments.

Third and Fourth Republic:

The government structure once again shifted in the third and fourth republic. The Governor returned as the head of the executive branch, and the Ministers resumed their duties in overseeing specific government functions. The legislature, as in the pre-First Republic, played an essential role in shaping the nation's laws and policies.

Fifth Republic (Independent):

With the declaration of independence, marking a great moment in Doulant's history, the government structure adapted yet again. The nation now operates as an independent state, with a revised governance model. The highest office, that of the President and Commander-in-Chief, represents both the head of state and the military authority. The Chancellor of Doulant continues to be a significant figure in the government, playing a key role in decision-making and administration. The Council of Ministers remains integral in managing various government departments, ensuring a coordinated approach to governance.

Order of Esemih

The Order of Esemih is the highest award achievable for civil and military merit. It is named after founder and President esemih0108 and first awarded in the first republic. As of October 2023, it has been awarded 12 times.

Order of Doulant

The Order of Doulant is the second highest award achievable for civil and military merit and was first awarded in the first republic. As of October 2023, it has been awarded 14 times.

Hero of Doulant

The Hero of Doulant medal is the third highest medal in Doulant. It is awarded for civil and military merit as well as courage and acts, which benefits the state and the society as a whole. It was first awarded in the first republic. As of October 2023, it has been awarded 15 times.

Order of the great patriotic war (13.06.2022 - 14.06.2022)

The Order of the great patriotic war was only awarded to Doulantese military personally, who fought in in the Doulantese - Avalonian war during the second Doulantese Republic. It has been awarded 8 times.

Callurian anti-Hersey campaign (31.08.2022)

The Callurian anti-Hersey campaign medal was only awarded to Doulantese military personell, who participated in the coup against Callurian Prime Minister Hersey and the installation of a new democratic head of state. It was the first conflict independent Doulant participated in, with the exception of the Doulantese independence war. It has been awarded 10 times.

Poopistan Campaign (06.08.2023)

The Poopistan Campaign medal was only awarded to Doulantese military personell, who fought against the nation of Poopistan to defend Doulantese colonial interests. It was awarded 12 times.
