The Diane Fink School of Film (also called Diane Fink School of Film and Hustle or DFSFH) refers to a group of filmmakers who worked on independent films in and around 368 Broadway in Lower Manhattan in the early 2000s. [1]All of the former members of this pseudo-collective have gone on to solidify themselves in cinema with independent careers of their own. These filmmakers include: Greta Gerwig, Ariel and Nev Schulman, Lena Dunham, Benny and Josh Safdie, and Van and Casey Neistat. Neistat still works in his studio at 368 Broadway and has converted main floor of the building into a creative space called 368.[2]

Name & Origin

The name Diane Fink School of Film and Hustle derives from the group's 368 Broadway landlord, Diane Fink. Due to low budgets and limited resources, the group often approached their films with a "DIY" mentality, often
