Dennis Dewall (born May 16, 1983) is an Austrian actor, author, entrepreneur, and producer. He is known for his roles in television series such as Medicopter 117 and his work in film production, including the documentary Spy Capital: Vienna.
Early Life and Education
editDennis Dewall was born in Minsk, Belarus, and later moved to Austria. He attended elementary and secondary school in Linz, Upper Austria, and continued his education at the Vienna Business School. In 2001, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he studied Theater Arts at Santa Monica College. Dewall returned to Austria in 2003 and managed Mezcalitos Club Vienna before opening the Downtown Club in 2005.[1][1]
Acting Career
editDewall's acting career began with his role in the TV series Medicopter 117 as a police officer. He has also appeared in several other television shows, including Tatort, Helmi, Messer Gabel Herz, Gemischtes Doppel, Dolce Vita, and Tara und Moni in Mailand und Paris.[2][2]
Production Career
editTransitioning to production, Dewall produced the documentary Spy Capital: Vienna, which explores the history of espionage in Vienna. Directed by Boris Volodarsky [3], the film features contributions from notable figures such as Christo Groove [4] and Gert Polli. Dewall is also involved in another film project, The Vienna Procedure.[5]
Writing and Entrepreneurship
editIn addition to his acting and production careers, Dewall authored the fitness book Burner 90 Days: From Mush to Muscles, published in May 2020. The book details his personal journey of losing 16 kilograms of body fat.[6][7]
Dewall also opened Fightclub in Vienna's Donauinsel in 2015, the first bar to show public amateur free fighting.[8][9]
Awards
editDewall received 2 awards for best producer and best actor at the Los Angeles Cult Film Festival in 2024 for Spy Capital: Vienna [10][11]
Personal Life
editDennis Dewall has one daughter, Amelie Elisabeth Dewall, born on April 19, 2014, in Vienna, Austria.
Political Career
editIn 2020, Dewall promoted the Austrian political party Team HC Strache and was placed as a candidate in the state election in Vienna on October 11, 2020.
