Gameplay
editPlayers will assume the role of military operators with unique abilities on the battlefield in an unnamed conflict and set in present day locations. Military vehicles like tanks and helicopters will be available for players to control, with weapon and character customization available to players.
The multiplayer is free to play with optional micro-transactions, and developers have opted against pay-to-win elements, with a separate game currency for cosmetics.[2] Aside from Havoc Warfare, a mode where teams are allocated tickets to win a game [3], it will also feature an extraction mode known as Hazard Operations.[1] Player progression is largely shared across different platforms with some limitations.[4]
Black Hawk Down campaign
editInspired by the eponymous title from Ridley Scott's 2003 film and Delta Force's sixth entry, the paid component of Hawk Ops will feature a single-player and cooperative experience as United States forces participating in the the 1993 Somali conflict, with rights to Scott's footage and will be closely based on the Black Hawk Down film. Tech demos of the campaign featured levels rendered in Unreal Engine 5, notably the locations of the raid which led to the Battle of Mogadishu.[5]
Release
editThe game is expected to release simultaneously on PC, mobile and consoles in the first quarter of 2025. Early access and testing began in 2024.[4]
