On April 18, 2024, Frank Tyson, a 53-year-old black man, was arrested during an encounter with police in Canton, Ohio. During the encounter, a police officer placed his knee on Tyson's back for thirty seconds- Tyson repeatedly stated "I can't breathe" until he fell unconscious. After being taken to a local hospital, Tyson died.[1]
