Architectural Legacy
editTwitchell is the grandson of Architect Ralph Spencer Twitchell, one of the founding members of the Sarasota School of Architecture and founder of the eponymous firm where Architect Paul Rudolph began his career following architecture school. Together, Terry and Nancy founded several architectural firms including Architects Design Group and Twitchell & Miao, Architects, and Nancy was a Professor of Architecture at Pratt Institute.
Growing up in an architectural family, Daryl Twitchell was drawn to the practice and found an opportunity to bring architecture and design into his management consulting practice, by project managing the buildout of large scale corporate headquarters sites for his clients.
Daryl Twitchell's uncle and brother of Terry Twitchell, Tollyn Twitchell AIA, was also an architect who partnered with his father's firm in Sarasota, Florida.
