Premise
editThe film is said to show life imitating art as a Broadway understudy finds a role worth killing for.[1]
Production
editIn March 2023, it was revealed that Amazon Studios had bought the script in a competitive market.[2] Jonathan Majors was revealed to be producing, via his Tall Street Productions company along with Westbrook Studios. Will Smith, Jon Mone, Mike Soccio and Ryan Shimazaki acting as producers on the film, with Spike Lee and Tyler Cole serving as executive producers. The screenplay is written by Tom Hanada, Zach Strauss and Tyler Cole, based on an original idea from Cole.[3] In January 2024, it was reported that Majors had left the project following a conviction for assault.[4]
