Although there's much praise on International Women's Day (8 March). Many people still criticize this holiday, some reason can be included is the significance of the event that many people are still wrong about it for "honor to women" misleading thinking.[1] Although the meaning is just to remove the discrimination and bring gender equality together,[2] there are also misunderstood about sexism with many people assuming that there's only a day for women is one of the discrimination things, although International Men's Day could be added as an International Day for men without the United Nations' denied.[3] Or perhaps the affects of the MeToo Movement.

Background edit

General edit

The establishment of International Women's Day was originally in August 1910, when International Socialist Women's Conference was organized ahead of the general meeting of Socialist Second International in Copenhagen, Denmark.[4] Inspired in part by the American socialists, German delegates Clara Zetkin, Käte Duncker, Paula Thiede, and others proposed the establishment of an annual "Women's Day", although no date was specified. [5][6][7]The 100 delegates, representing 17 countries, agreed with the idea as a strategy to promote equal rights, including women's suffrage.[8]

During the Russian Revolution, women textile workers began a demonstration that eventually engulfed the whole city, demanding "Bread and Peace"—an end to World War I, to food shortages, and to Tsarism.[9] This marked the beginning of the February Revolution, which alongside the October Revolution, made up the Russian Revolution.[10][11]

Toxic feminism edit

In the 2010s, there were many reports about some women using International Women's Day as a meaning of against men and Father's Day. In the 2020s, with the spreading of TikTok, many people were spreading the misunderstood information about International Women's Day and promoting toxic feminism, against man, and encouraging a divide between woman and man.[12] With the affects of the MeToo Movement. There were many misleading allegations with the main report are women - against men - and caused much damage for some men have no guilty.[13]

Sexism edit

Seriously, because most criminals are males, so even while a men didn't do anything wrong but still impeached by a women, he would be criticized even harder by public people, especially in school because female teachers are higher than male teachers, if a male teacher denounced for molested a schoolgirl, he would be fired even without proof.[14] In the United States, discrimination against men in female-dominated workplaces is more prevalent than discrimination against women in male-dominated workplaces.[15] So many women using International Women's Day for criticism, hooking, and negating about men's efforts.
