Title: Cottontail

Written by George Borgin

In a sun-kissed field, a couple of kids roam, With laughter and wonder, they make their home. No woodchucks to hunt, just a rabbit's fear, Cornered in silence, its trembling clear.

Their hearts soften as they draw near, Eyes meet, a connection sincere. In tender hands, the creature's fate they hold, With gentle touch, its story unfolds.

Luminous eyes speak of untold grace, A tuft of fur, a delicate embrace. Cherished moments, whispered secrets shared, In innocence, a bond is bared.

They pause, unsure, what choice to make, To spare or to shoot, their resolve at stake. In the end, tears fall, the rabbit's tale told, Their hearts heavy, with empathy's hold.

For in Borgin's tale, their innocence gleams, Compassionate souls in a world of dreams. Attuned to nature's beauty, they stand tall, In this Cottontail encounter, they heed the call.
