Columbus Christian Academy (CCA) is the largest private school in Columbus County, North Carolina.[1]

CCA was founded in 1977 as a ministry of Missionary Alliance Church under the leadership of Bobby Phillips.[2] The school began in the church building at 110 Wyche Street and steadily grew until they purchased a larger facility on Calhoun Street. CCA eventually built a new facility on Alliance Dr. which housed their middle and high school.
In 2013, under the leadership of Justin DuBose, CCA purchased the former Waccamaw Academy and consolidated their entire school on the Warrior Trail campus.[3] Under DuBose, CCA started a preschool and built and dedicated a new library in honor of the founding Phillips family. [4]
In 2022, CCA separated from Missionary Alliance Church and became an independent organization.[5] CCA principal Jennifer Noble led and oversaw the move into their current location on Peacock Road.[6][7]
Athletics edit
CCA fields six varsity boys athletic teams (baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis) and four varsity girls athletic teams (basketball, cross country, softball, and volleyball). [8]
