Clear Touch Interactive, Inc. is a technology company that develops and manufactures interactive display boards and other hardware and software solutions for education, business, and government. The company was founded in 2012 by Keone Trask, who is also company president and CEO, and is based in Greenville, South Carolina.[1] Clear Touch is listed on the Inc. 5000, and was listed on the Inc. 500 in 2018.[2][3] The company was named as one of South Carolina's 50 fastest growing companies in 2023.[4]

Clear Touch's interactive smart boards are not tied to the teacher's desk, therefore allowing teachers to be mobile.[5] They are usually installed in each classroom of most school buildings.[6]

The company develops Clear Touch Command, a cloud-based suite of tools designed for remote management of Clear Touch flat panels and digital signage displays developed by Clear Digital, an affiliate brand of Clear Touch.

History

edit

Clear Touch Interactive was founded in 2012 by Keone Trask and was first headquartered in Reno, Nevada.

On May 3, 2016, Clear Touch Interactive relocated its headquarters from Reno, Nevada to Greenville, South Carolina. The new headquarters are located in a 5,066 sq ft building at 1100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Greenville's Golden Oaks Business Park. The new facility consolidated the company's previous locations in Mauldin, South Carolina, and Reno, Nevada. Clear Touch expanded its headquarters to add a training facility, a service and support center, demonstration studios, and more office space.[7]

In August 2022, the Magnolia Speech School, a special education school for children with speech and language disorders located in Madison County, Mississippi, completed its transition to a new location in Madison on Bozeman Road, which makes use of ClearTouch panels.[8]

On March 1, 2023, Clear Touch acquired Swedish-based collaborative software company NUITEQ (short for Natural User Interface Technologies AB), the developer of Snowflake, an educational software solution.[9]

On June 17, 2024, Clear Touch announced a partnership with CENTEGIX, a company specializing in rapid incident response technology. This resulted in the integration of the CENTEGIX Safety Platform with Clear Touch Command software, allowing flat panels and non touch displays developed by Clear Touch to broadcast real-time emergency notifications when triggered by a CENTEGIX CrisisAlert badge.[10] The integration offers benefits such as immediate and targeted alerts, enhanced communication and response, and improved safety.
