Chukwuma C. Ogbaga is the Dean, Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences and a Professor of Biology and Biotechnology at Philomath University and Coal City University. He is also the Head of the Departments of Biotechnology, Microbiology, & Biochemistry at Philomath University.[1].

Early Life and Career

Prof Chukwuma Ogbaga was born in Enugu State, Nigeria where he completed his primary and secondary education. He is originally from Ebonyi State [2]. In 2010, he graduated with an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland [3]. After that, he proceeded to the University of Manchester, England where he studied for his PhD in Plant Sciences (Biotechnology) from 2011-2014 [4][5] He was the Head of, the Biology Department and an Associate Professor of biology and biotechnology at Nile University of Nigeria[6]. He has teaching and research experience at the university level spanning the United Kingdom, the United States and Nigeria[7]. Before joining Nile University of Nigeria in 2016, Prof Ogbaga was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois, USA from 2014-2015 [8]. He is a biology and biotechnology researcher with several collaborations and publications to his credit [9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]
