chargeMOD[1] is an Indian conglomerate founded by four members in 2019 and based in Palayam, Kozhikode in Kerala.[2] The group initially made electric vehicle charging app in 2019 and later ventured into supply equipment infrastructure development operations and network solutions. It's flagship company, chargeMOD Limited, is reportedly south India's largest electric charging supplier and Kerala's largest charging network providers, about 90%.[3]
History
editIn the year 2019, a startup led by four engineering students from Government Engineering College, Kozhikode named Raman Unni, Mithun Krishnan M, Advaith C and Anoop V has now become an entrepreneurial powerhouse. The startup, incubated under Kerala Startup Mission,[4] is the first company in Kerala, making it the state’s sole public EV charging provider for autos and the first to develop an indigenous mobile app for charging stations[5].The early pivoting seems to be reaping huge dividends as chargeMOD, the Kozhikode-based startup, is targeting a turnover of Rs 10 crore by the end of this fiscal. It has already crossed Rs 8.2 crore. It is a huge leap from the Rs 2.4 crore turnover the company clocked in 2022-23[6].Currently the company is run by Raman Unni As CEO[7].
