Chan Kum Chee (1918 - 1 May 1989) was a Singaporean businessman and city councillor.
Career edit
He became a clerk at the City Council audit department in 1931. He founded Chan Kum Chee & Company, an accounting firm, in 1941.[1]
Defaced campaign posters.[2] He was elected as a member of the Singapore City Council representing East Ward in the 1951 Singapore City Council election.[3][4][5] In 1952, he served as the chairman of the Public Utilities Committee.[1][6]
He became a director of Bukit Sembawang Estates Limited in July 1976.[1] He served as the deputy chairman of the Singapore Chinese Girls' School in 1980.[7] From 1983 to 1988, he served as the chairman of Bukit Sembawang Estates Limited.[8]
Personal life and death edit
He was married.[9] Daughter.[10]
He died on 1 May 1989.[1]
