Bella Pawita Sunthornpong (Thai: เบลล่า ภาวิตา สุนทรพงษ์) is a Thai beauty queen, model, public speaker, and finance professional.[1][2][3]. She is the winner of Miss Universe Thailand Chiang Mai 2024[4] and is a Top 20 finalist at Miss Universe Thailand 2024[5]. Sunthornpong also received the Mouawad x CI Talks Voice for Change Gold Winner award[6].
Early Life and Education
editBella Pawita Sunthornpong was born in Bangkok, Thailand and grew up in the United States. She graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma from EF Academy in New York, where she was also the Student Body Vice President.
Sunthornpong pursued higher education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Highest Distinction. She also completed a minor in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School[7].
Beauty Pageants
editIn 2024, Sunthornpong was crowned Miss Universe Thailand Chiang Mai, which led her to compete in the Miss Universe Thailand 2024 pageant[8], where she achieved a place in the Top 20[9].
Global Leadership and Volunteering
editIn 2020, Sunthornpong launched the Reimagine Education[10] project in collaboration with UNICEF Thailand. The initiative aims to address and improve the educational system in Thailand by developing innovative strategies and solutions to enhance learning outcomes and access to quality education. The project focuses on various aspects of education reform, including curriculum development, teacher training, and student engagement, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and effective educational environment for students across the country[11].
Awards and Recognition
editSunthornpong received the Mouawad and CI Talks' Voice for Change Gold Winner award[12], which was part of the Miss Universe Thailand 2024 competition. The contest invited contestants to create social impact campaign causes aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals[13]
