Draft:Arbeitskreis der Pankreatektomierten

The German Association of Pancreatectomy Patients (AdP, Geman: (German: Arbeitskreis der Pankreatektomierten) is a patient self-help group founded in 1976 by patients in Heidelberg and registered with the District court Bonn[1].

As as a self-help organisation, the AdP supports patients who have a pancreatic disease or are suspected of having one. The aim of the AdP is to promote the health and rehabilitation of patients who have undergone partial or total pancreatectomy or who have not undergone surgery, with a particular focus on cancer patients and their relatives.

The non-profit organisation is supported by the German Cancer Aid Foundation (DKH)[2]. Doctors from all specialties and nutritional therapists have supported the AdP since its inception. The association has 1500 members and 60 regional groups throughout Germany.
