The Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center is a world-class training facility on the campus of the University of Tennessee for diving and swimming. The center was completed in 2008 and is located at 2200 Andy Holt Ave SW in Knoxville. It has hosted the 2023 USA Diving Winter National Championships, the 2023 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, and the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.[1]. In previous years, the Aquatic Center has hosted events including the 2014 USA Diving National Championships, the 2019 USA Diving Junior National Championships, and the 2022 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships.
The aquatic center was named after Cleveland, Tennessee businessman Allan Jones, the founder of Check Into Cash, who made a $4 million challenge gift as a part of Tennessee’s STEP UP Capital Campaign for athletic facilities. The $23.8 million center has Two Olympic size swimming pools: an indoor pool, including a separate diving well with diving platforms as high as 33 feet, an outdoor pool, a strength training center, a sports medicine facility, and other features. The facility holds 1,800 people with a separate deck to accommodate 2,000 more[2]
