Sayyid Badiuddin Shah Rashdi (Arabic : بدیع الدین شاہ الراشدی Urdu : سید بدیع الدین شاہ راشدی Sindhi : بديع الدين راشدي, also known as Sheikh Al-Arab Al-Ajam, (Born: May 16, 1926 4 Dhul-Qa'da, 1344 AH - Died : January 8, 1996 - 16 Sha'ban, 1416 AH) was the founder and first Ameer of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Sindh. He was a distinguished scholar in Sindh, associated with the Ahl al-Hadith, known for his expertise in hadith, jurisprudence, and Quranic interpretation. [1] [2]
Early life and education edit
A notable Islamic scholar hailing from Pakistan, recognized for his principled stand against certain religious practices prevalent in the country, including grave worship and unquestioning adherence to specific schools of thought. The scholar also made significant contributions to education during his tenure in Saudi Arabia, where he taught at institutions such as Daarul-Hadeeth al-Khayriyyah. His instructional endeavors extended to the Haram and Masjidun-Nabawee in al-Madeenah. Noteworthy individuals who studied under him include Shaykh Rabee' Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee and Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Haadee al-Waadi'ee.[3]
