Habib Kazim al-Saqqaf, born in Tarim, Hadramaut in 1960, is a highly respected scholar and spiritual guide.[1]

Early life and education edit

His academic career started at the prestigious Ribat of Tarim, Abu Murayyim, and Qur'anic Literacy and Memorization, where he was taught the fundamentals of Islamic studies and the Qur'an. After completing his foundational education, Habib Kazim studied at the graduate level in Tarim, Yemen, under the guidance of eminent scholars. Then he travelled to Bayda in northern Yemen, where he studied under Islamic teachers including al-Habib Muhammad B. Abd-Allah al-Haddar, al-Habib Ibrahim B. Aqil b. Yahya, and al-Habib Zain b. Sumait. He also got Ijazah from eminent academics like Shaykh Nazim Al Haqqani.[2]

Influence and significance edit

Habib Kazim bin Ja'far bin Muhammad al-Saqqaf traces his lineage back through the great Imams, Shaykh 'Abd al-Rahman al-Saqqaf and al-Faqih al-Muqaddam Muhammad bin 'Ali to the Prophet Muhammad.[2][3] Habib Kazim currently teaches at the Dar al-Mustafa Islamic Institute in Tarim. He also serves on the Council for Legal Verdicts at the same establishment.[4] Additionally, he actively participates in conferences and lectures throughout Hadramaut. Also his online video lecture and quotes has reached to thousands of Muslim audience.[1][2]
