Adam Paddock is an alternative pop singer-songwriter. He was born on January 19, 2000, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Loveland High School in Loveland, Ohio. Paddock became interested in music when he started playing trumpet in the fifth grade. This developed further when, in high school, he joined his school’s show choir, Loveland By Request, and became a vocal soloist. He also began writing music in his senior year. He majored in strategic communication and was a resident hall advisor at The Ohio State University.[1]
Career edit
Over his career, Paddock has accrued over 500,000 streams and 150,000 listeners[2]. He’s played notable venues like the Schottenstein Center, Nationwide Arena, KEMBA LIVE!, and Newport Music Hall. Additionally, he has opened for international acts like Waka Flocka Flame, MAX, Judah & the Lion, Jake Miller, Ella Jane, Kings Kaleidoscope, Ripe, Gable Price & Friends, Post Sex Nachos, The Wonderlands, Michael Williams, Truslow, and Anna Vaus. He sings, produces, and plays guitar & piano.
2020 edit
Paddock began producing songs and playing as a live musician during his time as a resident advisor at The Ohio State University. His first single, “Milky Way,” was a collaboration with MOSES. Following this, he released the singles “All My Cards,” “Outside,” “Brightly,” “That’d Be Enough,” and “Tattoos.” Paddock collaborated with Micaylarie on the song “Conversations Past Midnight.” He recorded in his dorm, prompting encouragement from his residents and ultimately resulting in many of their voices being featured on “Brightly.” These singles were followed by, “That’d Be Enough,” and a three-version EP titled, “Tattoos.”[3]
2021 edit
Paddock released his first EP, “Lovely Stranger,” and dropped the solo singles “I’d Want You Anyway,” “Broken Clarity,” and “GOLDEN EYES.” He also collaborated with Xander Sallows on the songs “Glad you Stayed” and “Broken Clarity (Sam Bowman Remix)” and reunited with MOSES. on the single “AUTHENTIC.” Additionally, he appeared on “dance with me” by Hannah Joy Anderson and “Goodbye at Night” with Max Lew.
2022 edit
Paddock reunited with Max Lew on the single “Too Hot To Handle // Ghosts” before collaborating again with Xander Sallows on “Glad You Stayed (Nitro X Remix).” He also teamed with Katie Lynne Sharbaugh on the song “stay close to me” and with BlueFox on the single “Invincible.” 2022 was a breakout year in terms of live performances, from selling out his debut headlining show on February 25th at A&R Music Bar (after upgrading venues from The Basement), to opening for acts like Jake Miller, Anna Vaus, Ella Jane, and Truslow, and playing his first shows out of state.
2023 edit
Paddock jumped right into new music with ‘WEEKEND (feat. BOUT SEVEN & Caleny)’ and ‘MAKE IT TODAY’ while promoting/organizing Columbus Against The World. Additionally, he released singles: ‘LOVER’ and YOU’RE HERE NOW.’ From a live aspect, Paddock took leaps and bounds from singular opening slots for Judah & the Lion, Ripe, and Michael Williams to multiple shows with Kings Kaleidoscope, Gable Price & Friends, and Post Sex Nachos.
Headlining show at A&R Music Bar edit
In February 2022, Paddock sold out his first show as a headliner at A&R Music Bar in Columbus. The venue was upgraded from The Basement due to high demand for tickets. Paddock performed alongside indie-pop group Telehope, and the show was opened by Max Lew & The Midwest Experience, a band formed by current Ohio State students.[4]
Columbus Against the World edit
On March 4th, 2023, Paddock performed at “Columbus Against the World,” his first headlining show at Newport Music Hall in Columbus.[5] He performed in the final slot of the night, following fellow Columbus-based acts Left Out, Cousin Simple, and Spirit of the Bear. The concert was organized by Columbus iHeartRadio station The Fairly Local Show Alt. 105.7, with the purpose of being “a celebration of the independent music scene in CBUS.”[6]
Personal Life edit
Paddock lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He cites Jon Bellion, Ben Rector, and Ben Platt as musical influences.[7]
