Draft:3rd Yokosuka Special Naval Landing Forces

The 3rd Yokosuka SNLF was a Marine Paratrooper battalion of the Imperial Japanese Navy's Marine Paratroopers (SNLF).

Deployment edit

They were involved in the Battle of Timor (1942), they dropped close to Usua, 22 km (14 mi) east of Kupang, and then occupied Usau. Following a series of sustained assaults on their positions, the Paratroopers had suffered immense casualties and were forced to retreat into the Jungle.

Disbandment edit

The 3rd Yokosuka SNLF was later absorbed into the 1st Yokosuka SNLF due to a lack of Manpower in the later years of World War II.
