30 Pieces[1] is a captivating gospel movie that offers a beautiful and exemplary viewing experience. It weaves together compelling storytelling, impressive acting, and thoughtful cinematography to explore themes of purpose and righteousness within the Nigerian Police Force.

The film's characters, led by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye[2] as Officer Emma, bring to life a narrative that touches the heart and leaves a lasting impression. It was created and produced by the Mount Zion Film Studio of the Mount Zion Faith Ministries.[3] And Executively produced by Mike Bamiloye.

The writer and director of the movie Damilola Mike-Bamiloye[4] stated that the movie was inspired by a police man he observed at a toll who would preach Christ while carrying out his duties judiciously.[5]

Plot edit

"30 Pieces" follows Officer Emma, a young police officer who strives to win back his superior, Officer Collins, to Christianity. However, Officer Collins has backslidden and is engaged in a extra-marital affair. His actions lead to his wife discovering the affair, and he's kicked out of his house. As Officer Collins becomes involved in corrupt activities, including making deals with criminals for money, Officer Emma attempts to guide him back to his faith.[6]

Despite Officer Emma's efforts, Collins frames him, leading to Emma's arrest. The group of people Officer Emma had previously preached to rallies to demand his release. After his release, Officer Emma finds support from the same group, who offer him and his family a place to stay. As tensions rise, Officer Collins' son is drawn into criminal activities on the day of a police raid. A shootout ensues during the raid, resulting in tragic consequences.[6]

Officer Collins, deeply affected by the events, is eventually arrested after his wife calls the police on him. Officer Emma extends forgiveness and hope to Collins, helping him find redemption. In the end, Officer Emma is invited to join a special police department under the state governor's control."[7]
