Dhruva Advisors was founded by Dinesh Kanabar, Ex Deputy CEO of KPMG and Ex Deputy CEO of RSM & Co. Dhruva Advisors was started in November 2014. Dhruva Advisors was started in November 2014 by Dinesh and four senior professionals. The first-name initials of each of the first five founders were used to create the name Dhruva, which also means pole star in Sanskrit. The firm's first office was Nehru Centre building in Worli which is situated Mumbai, Maharashtra and presently they are situated at 1101, One World Center, 11th Floor, Tower 2B, 841, Senapati Bapat Marg, Elphinstone Road (West), Mumbai - 400 013, Maharashtra, India.

The firm has consistently remained a Tier 1 Tax firm in India for “Corporate Tax”, “Transfer Pricing”, and “Indirect Tax”.
The Euromoney's International Tax Review has recognised Dhruva Advisors as the “India Tax Firm of the Year” India from 2017-2022. With this Dhruva has created ITR history by winning for 5 consecutive years.
In 2018 & 2020 they were recognised ITR as “India Disputes and Litigation Firm of the Year 2018 & 2020”. Dhruva Advisors has received this award for the second time.
In 2020 the Middle East office “WTS Dhruva Consultants” was recognised as ““Best Newcomer of the Year, Europe” by International Tax Review (ITR) at the ITR European Tax Awards.
