Daniss Jenkins is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on a two-way contract with the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League.[1][2]

Jenkins attended high school at Hillcrest High School in Dallas. His senior year, The Dallas Morning News selected him as the District 12-4A offensive MVP. After graduation, he studied at Pacific University (2019–2021),[1] Odessa College (2021–2022), and Iona University (2022–2023)[3] as an undergraduate and St. John's University (2023–2024) as a graduate student.[1][4] During his freshman year at Pacific University, Jenkins was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman team.[5] In his final year playing for the St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team, Jenkins averaged 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.7 triples and 1.6 steals per game on 44.6% shooting from the field and 85.1% at the line.[6] Jenkins was also named to the All-Big East second-team and was the only St. John's player named to earn all-conference recognition at the end of the regular season.[2]
