Dalia (Dvarionas opera)

Dalia is a Lithuanian-language opera in four acts by Balys Dvarionas to a libretto by lt:Jonas Mackonis, after the 1938 play by Balys Sruoga "Apyaušrio dalia".[1][2]

  1. ^ Bronius Akstinas Glimpses of Lithuania 1978 p163 Composer Balys Dvarionas ( 1904-1972 ) is the author of symphonies , chamber music and the opera Dalia . The latter depicts the tragedy of a Lithuanian girl against the background of the peasants ' struggle in the 18th century.
