Etymology
editClonlisk derives its name from Clonlisk Castle (near Dunkerrin) and the townland of Clonlisk (Irish Cluain Leisc, 'meadow of laziness').[1]

editClonlisk was part of the territory of the Ó Cearbhaill (O'Carroll) of Éile (Ely).[2]
