Early lifeEdit

Born of Spanish parents from Ourense, in New York[5], CID's passion for music began early in his life. At just 11 years old, he'd take the MTA bus to his favorite record shop, where he spent hours looking for new music. It wasn’t long before some of New York's finest DJs became increasingly curious about this enthusiastic young kid who was casually browsing the same records that they’d been spinning at clubs the night before. He started DJing at 12 years old at his father's restaurant in Queens. He was passionate about house music, and he noticed that the DJs he idolized were known more for their music production, not for their performances as DJs. CID was inspired to produce his own music. It soon became evident that CID was not only a talented DJ but also an in-demand engineer and producer.

In 2013, CID won a Grammy for his production with Cedric Gervais' remix of "Summertime Sadness".[4][3] CID released "Sweet Memories" in 2016, with Kaskade and premiered his dance track titled "Together" that same year.[6] He later collaborated with Galantis to remix the duo's original song titled "Pillow Fight."[7] CID released a single, titled "Secrets" a collaboration with Australian singer/songwriter Conrad Sewell via Big Beat Records Big Beat Records.[2] An official music video was released in February 2017.[8] Look for more music from CID soon.
