Career

edit

Born in Hamburg, Braun played in his youth for Hamburger SV, VfL 93 Hamburg and FC St. Pauli, among others, where he also made the leap into men's football when he was accepted into the second team in March 2011. With her, he managed to get promoted to the Regionalliga Nord for the 2011/12 season, and subsequently played for the team for two seasons. He then played one season each for the league rivals SV Wilhelmshaven and VfB Oldenburg.

In 2015, he left northern Germany for the first time and joined SG Wattenscheid 09 in the Regionalliga West. After one season he moved again, this time to the Dutch second division club Fortuna Sittard. With this he managed to get promotion to the Eredivisie in the 2017/18 season, but subsequently lost his regular place and left the club without a transfer during the winter break 2018/19, without a season assignment, to the Greek first division club OFI Crete.[1] With this he managed to win the class against AO Platanias in the relegation play-offs in May 2019.

After a short absence from the club, he joined Romanian first division club FC Botoșani in October 2020, with whom he signed a two-year contract.[2] In the summer of 2022, the reigning champion CFR Cluj signed him, with whom he finished as the third in the table at the end of the season. After one year, he moved to league rival Rapid Bucharest in the summer of 2023.
