Chief product officer

A Chief Product Officer (CPO), sometimes known as VP of Product or Head of Product, is a corporate title referring to an executive responsible for various product-related activities in an organization. The CPO is to the business's product what the CTO is to technology.

A CPO is responsible for all product-related matters. Usually includes product vision, product innovation, product design, product development, project management and product marketing. In many tech companies, this position includes distribution, manufacturing, and procurement.[1]

ResponsibilitiesEdit

Ultimately the Chief Product Officer's responsibility is to build a great product that avails sustainable value in terms of revenue and profits for the business[2]. A Chief Product Officer may sometimes serve as a Chief Marketing Officer by involving themselves in marketing and advertising product benefits to the consumers. The CPO can both design or modify the product, so that it reaches the customer's satisfaction.
