Merge from Category:Reformed theologians edit

I have proposed that we merge this cat with Category:Reformed theologians because there is no commonly accepted distinctions that allow us to separate the two. Some have proposed distinctions, but none are broadly accepted. Therefore, we ought to include all who are commonly called Calvinists. I propose we keep "Calvinists" rather than "Reformed theologians" because the former is more general and less confusing when trying to decide if, say, a notable but run-of-the-mill pastor qualifies as a theologian proper. (Perhaps more useful subcats would be Category:Conservative Calvinists and the like, though "conservative" is also tricky to define. Would it automatically include anyone in a conservative denom. like the PCA, OPC, SBC, etc. and a few from the PCUSA, etc.?) --Flex (talk|contribs) 20:13, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm happy with the change, and will merely highlight at this point the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Calvinism#More useful Presbyterian categories?; sure, it refers specifically to Presbyterians, but I feel that the discussion could be more widely relevant.
