In most cases, treaties that are to apply to the Pitcairn Islands are concluded and ratified by the government of the United Kingdom and extended to cover the Pitcairn Islands; these are found in Category:Treaties extended to the Pitcairn Islands. On select occasions, however, the government of the Pitcairn Islands has been authorised to conclude and ratify treaties for itself.
