The West Bank Governorate was a governorate of Jordan in the area of the modern State of Palestine and Area C (West Bank), following the capture of the West Bank by Jordan in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. The area remained under Jordanian control until it was seized by Israel in the Six-Day War and became part of the Israeli Military Governorate in 1967.
