Basil Chivers (born 31 December 1939) was an English cricketer who played for Wiltshire. He was born in Devizes.
Chivers, who began his career in the Minor Counties Championship at the age of 17, made several appearances for Kent's Second XI between 1959 and 1962.
Chivers' sole List A appearance came in the 1964 Gillette Cup, against Hampshire. Chivers scored a duck in the match, and Wiltshire lost the match by a margin of 120 runs.
Anthony married Heather Collison in Canterbury, and in February 1968 in Dover their daughter Rebecca Louise Chivers was born.
In 1972 Matthew Charles Chivers was born in Epsom, Surrey.
In 1991 Rebecca had her first son Thomas Michael Judge in Canterbry, Kent and in 1997 Rebecca had her 2nd son Samuel Alexander Judge in Maidstone, Kent.
Anthony and Heather later moved from Ashtead, Surrey to Horley in Surrey. After retirement Anthony and Heather moved to Lower Dicker in East Sussex.
Anthony Basil Chivers unexpectedly died on 21 January 2023.
