Previous season
editThe Gamecocks finished the 2023–24 season 26–8, 13–5 in SEC play to finish in a tie for second place. As the No. 5 seed in the SEC tournament, they beat Arkansas in the second round before falling to Auburn in the quarterfinals. The Gamecocks earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament there first since 2017, However, they would fall in the first round to Oregon.[1][2]
