RE:

I'm working on Helene's report right now, it should be up a bit later today. As for the background thing, I would really have no clue as to how to get it the same color. The press release should be coming out soon as well. Weatherman90 17:14, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Dang, you got the color right but now it messed with your menu. Anyways, I got Oscar done, thought I would let you know... Weatherman90 15:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Helene

I present to you: Helene in all her glory. Weatherman90 22:05, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

P.S...is it just me or does NSLE seem to be scrutinizing and picking on all of your pages for some reason. Weatherman90 20:05, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
I just thought that it was kind of strange (and somewhat unfair). Weatherman90 21:51, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, hopefully he will lay off a bit. BTW, I got Nadine up now. Weatherman90 21:54, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Mediterranean Subtropical Pic

That's a cool picture you added there, but you need to add a source. Hurricanehink 11:37, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Inheritance series

Hello. I see you've created Wikipedia:WikiProject Inheritance Trilogy. I'm a little confused by your intent. Since

  • you didn't advertise on the list of proposed wikiprojects, although I can see you've used that page before,
  • and you haven't, as far as I can tell, done any edits in the Inheritance Trilogy pages (or if you have, they haven't been recent or in the major pages),
  • and you didn't describe your goals for the project on either the talk pages for the Inheritance pages or the WikiProject page,

it's really unclear where you intend to go with this WikiProject. Could you provide some context? A good starting point is the suggestions for new wikiprojects page; if you follow the guidelines there, you should have a good starting point. Thanks. Deborah-jl Talk 13:38, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

IcelandicHurricane, I am growing increasingly concerned by your continuing work on prettifying a content-free wikiproject with no members, and the fact that you haven't answered any of my questions about the project. I hope you do not believe I am being belligerent or in any way rude. Work on improving these pages is a great thing, especially since they have a tendency to be a battleground for POV. But I do believe I have asked legitimate questions, and it worries me that you have neither answered my questions nor, as far as I can see, involved any of the other dedicated editors of these pages in a conversation. I believe we can work together to improve the pages about the Inheritance Trilogy, but a wikiproject involves working together -- otherwise, by definition, it is not a wikiproject. Would you mind taking a few minutes to think about the questions I have asked here and on the talk page for the wikiproject, so you can address my concerns? Thanks very much. Deborah-jl Talk 13:06, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to add that it's clear from your contributions that you have been valuable asset to Wikipedia working on the hurricane pages. I am as dedicated to the children's literature pages as you are to the hurricane pages, and I think it would be great if another dedicated Wikipedia editor came over and worked on these pages. I want you understand our my concerns are coming from -- I absolutely appreciate that you're doing work to help make these pages better, I just worry that a wikiproject organized as you're organizing it won't actually help, because there doesn't appear to be an attempt to bring in involvement from other Wikipedians. Image:Sturdivant.png

This is important. For this image, where did you "copy" it from? It may be copyrighted. NSLE (T+C) at 00:59 UTC (2006-04-04)

I've tagged it for speedy deletion under I4 - unknown licensing; if it does get deleted and you re-upload the image please choose the correct licensing. This image is obviously not an original work of yours, and you do not have the right to release it under GFDL. NSLE (T+C) at 01:14 UTC (2006-04-04)
I've re-tagged it as I4 rather than I3, which gives you seven days to find the correct copyright holder and ask for permission. NSLE (T+C) at 01:16 UTC (2006-04-04)
I think that since it's clearly a hand drawing from the 1800s, it qualifies as public domain. However, it does need source information, so we know which book it was copied from. --Elonka 01:39, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Does't matter if she's dead. Copyright is likely held by the publishers in this case. NSLE (T+C) at 00:39 UTC (2006-04-05)
Uh, to quote, Images in this category are for when the author has put into the public domain or the author has died over 70 years ago (pre-1936); also for images ineligible for copyright created by the U.S. Federal Government. (here). Did the author die 70 years ago? Yep. Is it public domain then? Yep.
Also see Public domain#Expiration. The publishers can't own copyright. Otherwise, if I publish something that contains a PD image taken from Wikipedia, then the copyright transfers to me? See also Template:PD-art. Etc, etc.
Icelandic Hurricane went to the effort of fetching the book, finding the picture, and scanning it. Is this supposed to be his reward? --Qviri (talk) 21:33, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Looks good to me. I would also point this out, from Wikipedia:Public domain: "In the U.S., any work published before January 1, 1923 anywhere in the world is in the public domain. Icelandic Hurricane, thanks for the work! --Elonka 23:00, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Re:Deathpool

I was actually fixing my mistake just as you were typing. Thanks for pointing it anyways - in case I wouldn't have double-checked myself. I might try to conjure up some other awards, but I would have to think of Categories...probably one for youngest APA etc... Weatherman90 21:22, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

The Table

No problem, and if you run into a similar problem in the future, feel free to give me a shout. --Qviri (talk) 22:56, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Re: Dates

I use the UTC times that are given in the TCRs. Does Wikipedia use some other time? Hopefully we can get this resolved. -- RattleMan 00:34, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Re:List of New England hurricanes

Oh, sorry. I had no idea. I can fix that in a jif. — HurricaneDevon @ 12:53, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

RE:

I like your proposition, but I honestly don't think that I would make it quite yet. I would rather wait until like mid or late may when I will have at least 3-4 months in a row with alot of edits. I could still nominate you though, your edit count isn't half bad - although I would get a few more wiki space edits under your belt if I were you. Weatherman90 01:08, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Inheritance-Trilogy-stub

Hi - I notice you moved this stub template. There was very clearly a tag on it saying that its name was being discussed with a view to whether to move it or not. By moving it during the debate you've created more work for people - please DO NOT move stub templates if their name is currently being debated! Grutness...wha? 05:57, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

s'alright - just made for a bit of confusion during the sfd discussion and means the debate is likely to be a bit longer is all. Grutness...wha? 00:36, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Re:Userboxes

I solved the problem on your userbox page...and I saved the changes if you don't mind. I will try and see what I can do with the text and userboxes on your page but I doubt I will be able to fix it. Weatherman90 21:35, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Re: Mediterranean hurricane

Well, originally all of the information on my page was on the Mediterranean tropical cyclone page, but a lot of it was based on looking on satellite images. Hurricanehink 04:23, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging for Image:Abdeslami.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Abdeslami.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Re:My edits

Add this to your monobook.js:

//Back-up edit counter
//Visit [[User:Interiot/Tool2/code.js]] in emergencies!
document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="'
    + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>');

Then go to User:Interiot/Tool2/code.js. Sorry for not telling you that earlier! (You might have to press cntrl+F5 if it still doesn't work.) --M@thwiz2020 18:56, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

I just added it for you to User:Icelandic Hurricane/monobook.js. Just go to the edit counter, press cntrl+F5, and then it should work! --M@thwiz2020 20:41, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Here's how you go to the counter:
  1. Go to User:Interiot/Tool2/code.js
  2. If you have never used the counter before, press the control button and, without letting go, press F5. The page should now refresh. If you have used the counter before, skip to step three.
  3. Type your username in the box.
  4. Click submit.
  5. Wait, and your count should appear.
Are you using Firefox or IE? The counter doesn't seem to work in the latter. --M@thwiz2020 20:50, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh, sorry then. For some reason, it won't work in IE. I can't find the faulty code. Until then, you can get Firefox for free. I've added a notice about this to the page, but you'll have to cntrl+F5 to view it. --M@thwiz2020 20:55, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm moving this from my talk page to yours, since mine is growing quickly these days. --Interiot 12:12, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Re:...

Sorry about the delay, I had her typed up for a while but forgot to paste it on. Anyway, I got it up now. H. Tony looks like it could be a lengthy report. Weatherman90 01:35, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

RE: Inheritance Trilogy

About the Inheritance WikiProject: I'd be pleased to join (most of my edits here on Wikipedia itself have been Inheritance-related, anyway), but my time is already divided quite a bit (being an admin on the Inheriwiki and a member of the Star Wars WikiProject, also :D). So...I'll be around, but I can't say that I'll be your greatest contributor. :S Amina skywalker 23:34, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Re:2007 hurricane season

I felt it to difficult to finish. How do I revive it? I will now that i konw someone actually looked at it (other that Weatherman.) →Cyclone1Friday,21 April 2006 20:37UTC 01:14, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Never mind, i figured itout. It has been succesfully revived. →Cyclone1Friday,21 April 2006 20:37UTC

Re: Med storm

That's nice! Good find. I'll add it later on. Hurricanehink 13:50, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Yea, possibly. Hurricanehink 13:57, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Brisbanecyconemap.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Brisbanecyconemap.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

I really don't know. You should ask an admin about that. Hurricanehink 15:08, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
