Long term IP vandal; create filter tag?

tl;dr - Would it be possible to request a filter be created?

I've stumbled upon an IP user(s?) who have been making non-constructive edits for years. Started with 68.98.155.153 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). They insist on adding curly quotes and apostrophes, despite WP:' and MOS:QUOTEMARKS, and decapitalizing position titles. This prompted me to ask for AWB permissions so that I could use it to correct the errors.

That IP address was blocked for their disruptive behavior. Their block has expired, but still no edits, so I did some searching and found more IP users who use the same edit summary: "punctuative corrections". Found 68.98.157.20 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) and 68.98.155.114 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). I'm sure there are others. This has been occurring since at least 2012.

From what I can tell, there is no indexing of edit summaries unless there is a tag filter. Would it be possible to request a filter be created? My thoughts were to have it tag either when the edit summary "Punctuative corrections" is used and/or when various curly quotes and apostrophes are used. If so, where/who would I ask?

@EvergreenFir: The place to ask for an edit filter is Wikipedia:Edit filter/Requested. You will need to supply diffs from various IPs. The edits all coming from a Cox IP and mostly using the same edit summary will help fine tune a filter. The problem is that they do not always use an edit summary and it might be a little tricky to write a filter to detect some of their edits like where they are spelling out numbers or changing capitalization. Okay. I'll put together a request for a filter. I know it won't catch all of them, but if it even if it catches some of them, I can look at the edit histories and use AWB to fix any it missed.

Having a patent, publishing a paper, developed a product does not confer notability. Thousands of people have any one of those and they are not notable for Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. If you disagree with the outcome of the community discussion regarding the deletion of your article, then you need to follow the proper procedure, not try to circumvent the deletion by creating the article under different names and using different accounts/IP addresses. Sex Noises

Hello Gogo Dodo. You recently deleted an article called sex noises. I will not link to it as it is gone. I had voted on the AFD and had suggested the article be deleted for later recreation as it lacked sources. However you deleted it under the speed delete category as G3, pure vandalism or a blatant hoax. The article was poorly written but it was not vandalism or a hoax and should not have been speedy deleted. I have some serious misgivings about your decision. While I had nothing to do with the creation/development of the article I do plan to recreate it when possible, using the text that you have labelled as vandalism, modified of course so as to adhere to guidelines. You deleted the article Busradar without even investigating the sources

I am very disappointed that the deletion of busradar|busliniensuche is just an easy click for you and that it is basically nothing more what the police in the USA does at this time, they can do everything without being held accountable for anything. You are corrupting the system of free speech and abusing the power to decide which articles are of public interest and which are not using some fuzzy wikipedia rules that can basically apply for anything you'd like to delete if you just want to. Don't tell me that you used objective criteria to determine this you didn't even check the sources or try to see if there is really a foundation for this article. I showed you the Travel ticket search engines category of wikipedia when speed deletion was scheduled which is full of travel companies and websites that are of much lower importance and public recognition than busradar|busliniensuche. You not just doing your job you are doing a lousy job

Deleting an entire article with citations, numbers and details in a quick process does discourage many authors to continue writing for wikipedia. And this is your fault. If there will be one day anthing like wikipedia not censored not in a deletion mania, hundreds if not even thousands of discouraged writers will join it and wikipedia will be an abandoned ghost town. Thank you for your great contribution to that. Wikipedia is big because of an lack of an alternative. Nothing more. If you're referring to the May 30 deletion, it was deleted because it hadn't been edited in six months but it has been restarted at Draft:Terragon Group. For an article to be accepted and survive any possibility of deletion, it must be notable with good third-party sources such as news and magazine coverage. I'm not quite sure I agree with the criteria you used to delete Manveer. When I last visited the page, it looked like a dictionary definition, not a page about a specific person. As such, I would not expect WP:A7 to apply. Special:RecentChanges

When I do searches for multiple accounts, etc., I often get hits for userpages that have a transcluded Special:RecentChanges template. I can't find this template to see how many users do this. Interesting question and I don't know the answer to that. You can't use Special:WhatLinksHere to look up other Special: links. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an external tool that does it. You might ask at WP:VPT. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:44, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
